OUR COMMITMENT TO CARE

Across our collection of 21 luxury country house hotels and coastal retreats, we understand we must exceed guest expectations while caring for our teams and the local communities we call ‘home,’ which is why we all work towards a set of shared goals to support our team and protect the planet both now and into the future.

We are committed to safeguarding the environment and strive to preserve our fragile ecosystem while providing an open and inclusive environment where our people can thrive.

From growing herbs and vegetables in our gardens and caring for our own bees to maximising recycling and opening up career opportunities, we are passionate about operating in the most responsible and sustainable way - and always will be.

NURTURING HEALTHY ECOSYSTEMS

We support a nature-positive culture by nurturing healthy ecosystems within our hotel grounds. Many of our gardens are home to wildflower meadows or wildlife habitats for animals and insects while encouraging sustainable food production for our restaurants.

REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Reducing carbon emissions throughout our organisation is just one way we are working to operate more sustainably. We recycle and opt for recyclable products, have removed plastic straws from our bars and restaurants and reduced the amount we print.  Across our collection, we aim to reduce waste by 40% over the next decade through our supply chain management and operations.

SUPPORTING AND DEVELOPING OUR TEAM

We encourage an open, inclusive and supportive working environment with clear career progression that is accessible at all levels, from apprentice to management. We are proud of our reputation for nurturing talent and developing our team from within through our in-house Academy and training partnerships with leading hospitality associations.

SAFEGUARDING ETHICAL SUPPLY CHAIN

We work hard to ensure our suppliers align with our ESG principles, making us a hotel partner of choice for some of the UK’s leading brands. We are also committed to growing our local and artisan supplier network to reduce our carbon footprint. Our efforts to support an ethical supply chain ensure we make a positive contribution to our local communities that is delivered directly back to our guests.
